Identifying Your Engine
I need an engine for a 1990 Honda Civic Hatchback. I found one to put in it but i dont know if it will fit or not it is from 99 civic ex so i just need some info before i buy it.
I need to know what engine my 94 EX coupe has, but its not the stock motor it was swapped about 2 years ago and rebuilt about a year ago and has about 40,000 miles on it. The odometer reads 180***, but thats with the stock engine, the new engine, and the rebuild.
I just bought a '96 EX 5 speed and the owner told me that ALL EX models have the V-TEC.....is that true?
I would look for the code or the solenoid, but the car is still at the previous owner's house(I take posession of it on Sunday)

All USDM EX models since 1992 have VTEC of some form.

I was just looking at several sites, and they all mention that the SOHC V-TEC was standard on the EX
