ignition auxiliary question

Default ignition auxiliary question

iv never owned a honda before,i got my hands on a 1998 civic in really good shape and low k,s on it.

im used to the ignition auxiliary going back towards the driver,if i need to use this do i turn the key forward

so what im asking is when your civic is turned off which way do you turn your key to listen to the raido .

All the way counterclockwise locks the steering wheel and lets you pull the key out. This is where it would be when parked. The first click clockwise is "off"-- the wheel is unlocked but nothing electric comes on. The second click turns on the radio and some other stuff but not the engine. This is called position (I) Roman numeral 1. The third click (II) is the normal running position-- the engine and the radio are on. The fourth click (III) turns the starter. It springs back to II when you let go of the key.

on my cvic when i turn the key backwards towards me it turns the car off ,there is no more futher back then that so i guess when the car is off 1 turn forward would be my aux...im used to fords where you turn the key backwards after you shut the car off use the aux.
