its been awhile
since i have actualy posted somthing of my own. i have been so caught up in every one else's posts,
but i have been noticing some wierd things with my civic,
welll one wierd thing,
can your timing belt be spining? can it slip?
after i did my swap i drove it for about a week with nothing wrong, then
i finaly ajusted the timing correctly, welll i thought i did. i didnt actually do it, my step dads friend did it at his shop, with a timing light, and ever since then,
i will be driving and i feel a loss of power, its not dramatic buts its enough for me to notice it
what could cause that?
also i know my spark plugs need to be replaced, but i am not sure how to do that, i will look on line tonight and figure it out,
and.... pretty much all my belts are loose, because they squell dramaticly,
so tomorrow i am changing my spark plugs, and tightening my belts,
but if that doesnt fix the that loss of power i was talking about what will
thanks for reading such a long post that i made way too long!!
i want all your opinions!

Spark plugs are MAD easy. You carefully yank the plug wires off, put a spark plug tool down there on an extender with a ratchet, lefty loosy, pull it out. The new ones should be pre-gapped correctly, but make sure the gap is .044 with a spark plug gap tool. (It's round and flat, you see them stacked at the register at auto zone all the time.) Installation is reverse of removal. Stick the new plug in the socket, put it into the hole, righty tighty but not too tight, its optional to use that anti-seize goop they have by the register but I've used it and it's some good stuff. Put the plug wires back in and you're good.
And yeah, the timing belt spins. That's kinda part of the reason its there. It can jump teeth if the belt tensioner is worn out. Recheck the timing, make sure it's still right. If it has jumped a tooth and it jumps more, you risk engine damage.
If you don't feel confident with belts just have a shop do it. They all have a life span. Your car is 12 years old. If things haven't been changed yet, or only changed once, they might be due again.

ok thanks! this is really going to help me,
soo i did some searching in the garage and tool boxes'
i dont have that tool, but what i do have is the correct soccet and an extending magnet,
the reason why i dont want to buy one is simply because i dont have the money to spend even a few bucks right now.
