Keep the Hatch

Keep the Hatch
I've kind of decided that the car has to have a choice one way or the other.
Problems:
Clutch starting to slip
Clutch Master leaks
Tranny leak
Tranny throw out making noise.
Brake Master going
Front brakes warping
Paint fade
The good:
AC new
Tire/rims new
clean title
engine strong and no leaks
newish exhaust
great on gas
If I sell now I could afford to have a newer, cleaner, civ hatch...
If I fix it up I know I am spending more then it's worth KBB value, but it'll be my little toy. I guess I'm just torn as it makes a great daily driver (100 miles a day) and to date has been very reliable. It's like deciding if your wife or your kid dies...choose now[:'(]

RE: Keep the Hatch
keep it man, shop around for parts, and search for junkyards to get stuff off of. i would try to score some of those parts for cheap from a junkyard, like the tranny. your civics been good to you, you should be good to it.

i dunno, if i were u i'd run around some junk yards and try to find what ya need. im sure u'll find most things and it'll be pretty cheap. some of the stuff u could fix urself and the others, if u find the part u might be able to just give the parts to a mech. and have them do it. if u fix it up right and keep up with tune ups and all that jazz, it'll still last u a long time.

i would work my *** off and try to make as much money *** possible till she dies, its going to take a nice chunk of change to make her better, and if you sell it..you not going to get much
once somthing goes wrong were you cant drive it anymore, sell it and since the engine is strong..you could probably get $700 for it still, some home mechanic would pick it up

The other thing is I may be moving soon, and I wouldn't have to worry about Cali emissions...that's a whole new thing to think about.
