9k for an 02? They go for half that in my neck of the woods. Is it auto or manual?

That is half the price of an 2013 for an 2002? I hope you enjoy it. A lot of money for an 11 year old car. I just looked up a 2002 Civic LX Seden with 94,000 miles & $5482 is dealer retail in CLEAN condition.

Since you mentioned you're new to hondas, make sure your timing belt has been changed, its due and it'd suck if it broke.

If you read Kelly Blue Book you will see that only 5% of vehicles are in EXCELLENT CONDITION. So the chance you got one of the 5% is very slim.
We aren't being Haters at all. The truth is that you paid way more for a Honda than any of us would of. A warranty is a waste of money if you got one of the 5% of Honda's in Excellent condition. With 94,000 miles that means your warranty is over at 124,000 miles. In 124,000 miles you should of had no cost period for repairs. Because even a timing belt in an EXCELLENT CONDITION car should of been changed @ about 75,000 miles.
But the bottom line is as long as your HAPPY the rest of us can go take a leap. Your the one that is paying for it.
But a smart CONSUMER would of used there 1st post to ask BEFORE they BOUGHT.

Wow, those are some bold assumptions for an introduction thread.

I would argue that a warranty is needed more on an old car rather than a new one.
