I have an 06 Civic 4dr and my wife drives an 08 Odyssey. The oil minder as it may does look at how you drive. I drive a lot of highway miles and my wife is mostly city. I try to change the oil in both vehicles around the same time. My minder and miles would differ widely from my wifes van. For instance I am at 50% with about 5200 miles and my wife is about the same with 3100 miles. I use full syn Valvoline.

 

Is a filter so expensive that you wouldn't want to change it when you're changing the oil??
