Default Looking for custom speaker surroundings

Do any of you know where I could find custom front speaker surround pieces for a 96-00 civic?

I would like to install aftermarket speaker grilles, but I hate how it looks weird when you take off the OEM speaker cover.

Has anyone tried to cut the OEM cover then install the grille? Does it sit nicely in there or does it look out of place?

thanks

ya thers nothing to put in it.
your gonna have to go custom....

hardest part with it is keeping the stock cover since it just snaps inplace.... now if you use some sandpaper and clearer to sand the inside of the cover and cut a hole in the cover to fit your speaker to, then with some plastic epoxy or something strong so you can bold the 2 plastic panels together firmly, then with a bit more epoxy or mdf to make a mounting point to keep the speaker inplace then just drill a hole in it and mount the speaker and its grill. either way. to make it look nice you gotta go custom. or try to keep the stock speaker grill over your new speakers, but most speakers are hard to keep the stock grill without at least quite a bit of trimming.

Maybe get a set from a boneyard and fiberglass a "pod" to it? Might have to add screws to help hold it on, but those could probably be hidden behind the speaker..

yeah i say get a spare set of speaker covers than cut a hole and mount the speaker directly to that [plastic epoxy is beast and will hold screws]

I didn't know he made them for Civic's.

I got a set in my Caprice from him. Nice guy, and quality work..
I deadened the doors while I had the panels off. What a different that, and upgrading from 4x6's made.

Kinda ugly, but nice functionality.

EDIT: Well, looks better if color matched, proven by scoob8000's post.
