Default lowering civic?

I just want to know if it be better to lower or raise a 96 civic sedan. How much should I do it and how much would it cost? I have 15 inch wheels on it. All my friends want me to lower it.

What are you going to be doing with the car? Racing? Rally? You need to know that before you can pick which to do.

for appearance, lowering it will make it really look good. i would say a 2.5 inch all around is a good drop

^^You can get away with a 40mm drop on front with 17" wheels and more again at the rear.
