i have a d16y7 block with a d15b jspec head but i thought that vtec should really be hitting in that car how come its not performing like i thought it would be i thought the vtec would be stronger so would it be better if i had a y8 block? or can i keep this and do something to it so the vtec will run harder i need your opinions people!

 

SOHC Vtec, aparently isn't that strong, it's natural territory is in the DOHC's. so even though it may be working, doesn't mean it is gonna pull reaally hard

 

SOHC Vtec isn't gonna give you the pull like a DOHC Vtec will. your gonna have to go boost if you want that hard pull out of your d.
