my axle snapped
I drive a 92 civic lx the only performance mod is an aem cold air intake. Ok well i was doing a u turn and a car rolled up on me so i had to stop, after it passed i saw more cars rolling at me so i reved it up to about 6k rpms and dumped the clutch and then i heard a tire chirp and then my car stopped moving and started making grinding sounds like my tranny went out. So i pushed it off the road and popped the hood nothing caught my eye i turn the wheel and look under the drivers side and damn my axle is freely hanging and oil is leaking all over the place. The cv joint had busted and the boot was torn to crap. WTF $201.07 later and im back up and running again.
I need to get my motor swap done asap

I can't believe the cv snapped... but the stress of the u turn on the cv causing it to be at an angle and at its weakest point and popping the clutch at 6k (completely stupid) did it. Now why would you pop it at 6k haha. If I'm launching off the line I'm revving to like 4k... no more. Any more and the tires will spin too much, but 6k? Keep doing that and the next thing to go will be your clutch.

ones a 1.8, ones a 2.0. More displacement and the main differnce between the b18/b20 and say a gsr bottom end is the rod stroke. And don't just buy a b20 and run it stock, not worth it. They are in suv's for a reason, only built for low end power. But if you go b20v it'll be worth it, but then again I prefer lsv over b20v. But if you are looking for a cheap dohc swap that'll will give you noticeable hp and not cost a lot just go get an ls, ls swaps can be had for like $500 by me.
