I wouldn't trust that boost controller... you don't want your boost to spike. Get a used turbonetics boost controller on eBay, this guy is selling a butt load of them for $35 shipped.

get a motorola 2.5bar map sensor from Phearable.net, they're only like $35.

for spark plugs I think you need NGK BKR7E, gapped to like .028-.030
thankz man, but yeah, i've read nothing but bad reviews on the boost controller so i never planned to use it. do you think used is good, i was thinking of getting a new one, don't they usually only run like $75 anyways. but i'll look into the turbonetics one on ebay that you're referring to.

i've decided to ditch the map sensor altogether now. Riceburner700, the guy helping me install it, said that as long as i don't go over 10 psi then i won't need a check valve or a 2.5 bar, but i'll probably get the motorola one later, most likely from Phearable, that's where i was looking at it. but that won't be until i rebuilt with vitaras and rods

BKR7E, thankz, i'll keep that in mind. where would be a good place to purchase this, online, or locally??

thankz trust destruction

somebody on another forum said that my fuel injectors look weird like it's not for my engine and might not fit. Does anyone know for sure if it will or won't fit??? I bought it from fast-turbo.com and he told me these are the injectors i need and those are the ones i bought.

the person on the other forum said those look like the newer DEKA 4 injectors

hmm... idk if they're the wrong ones or anything but they do look a little weird.
here's what my RC's look like

Are those injectors low or high impedence? If you're looking for a resistor box I have one in my for sale thread.

other than how mines isn't fat in the middle of the injector, it still looks fairly the same. does anyone know if it'll still work??

the guy from fast-turbo said that it is high impedence 650cc injectors. I'm not at home so i can't check now, but i'll look at what the box says later.

Now all i need is the flowmaster high flow cat from my friend and it's on to the shop for install. I'll have him post up pics of that later too

the injectors should be fine, i contacted fast-turbo.com, the people i bought it from, and they informed me that the 650cc precision ones are skinny but they are still the ones from my car.

i'll be installing everything after christmas passes! i'll try to post up a lot of pics.

i felt like updating this old thread of mine since i should soon be able to afford modding the civic again.

so yes, i had it boosted around christmas like my last post said. here were a couple pics during the install.

brought it to a reputable shop here in colorado, PFI speed up in fort collins. during tuning, they heard a very noticeable rod knock and had to cut tuning short at 160 whp tuned very conservative and rich. this did not surprise me since i had been hearing signs of a bad/worn/spun rod bearing long before i decided to turbo. but since it was a measly d16y7, i didn't care if it would blow up so i went ahead with it anyways.

so all done, it was a blast. sure the ebay t3/t4 was way too big, full boost at the mystery wastegate psi didn't hit until about 5000 rpm, the turbo kick was amazing. for the short time i had it, i could easily pull on STOCK mustangs, camaros, integras, 240s, etc. (though i was always safe on the street and would let off at 60mph, i've still never gone over 90mph in a car on the streets ), it was fast, but not a miracle, remember only 160 whp

i did run into a few minor problems:

first, the bov nipple fell off the bov so i just superglued it back on lol.

and two oil leaks appeared, neither due to the quality of the kit though. both was due to ****ty install. one was at the oil feed T, more teflon probably should have been used. and the next was at the oil pan at the drain fitting, PFI left several pinholes that i covered up with some rightstuff gasket maker.

so all's good again! until......

my car was stolen two about two months after i had it boosted.
here are the pics of the after math:

i got it back about 4 months later, long after i already gave up wishing that it would turn up again. basically, all they left me with was my front end conversion. stole the turbo kit, spoiler, lips, seats, deck, tools in the trunk, etc

i let it sit at my driveway untouched for months, enjoying the wonderful s2k i replaced it with. since i didn't want to purchase snow tires for the s, i decided to fix up the civic as a winter beater. after spending a bit over 2k on the civic, it was up and going. some things that i did to it include: (copied from another forum i posted in a long time ago)

" What it took to get my stolen civic running again

get out of impound about 170
tow x2 125
two gallons of antifreeze 20
razor blades 6
timing belt tensioner 41
water pump 46
battery 83
oil filter 3
oil x2 40
head gasket 43
micro v belt 10
used knock sensor 38
iat sensor 20
intake air duct 45
spark plugs 9
fuel filter 20
integra front seats 100
set of cheap new 14 inch wheels and snow tires 590
fuel sending unit 40
oxygen sensor 20
miscellaneous 50
stock exhaust free
d16y8 head free
y8 engine wiring harness free
y8 ecu, free
and labor since i'm incapable of doing things myself 350

grand total is over 1800 down the drain just to get running again, not to mention losing all the money i invested getting it boosted , **** happens and life moves on. i'm still happy that it's finally running again though "

that brought me to about 1800, but considering the impound fee and some other stuff i left out, it easily goes over 2k.

got some great snow tires on there and a full detail to restore the paint, repainted the rattle can fenders with more rattle can, and this is where she sits as my dd:

since then, i got a new center bezel with a pioneer radio, and it's a wonderful dd.

i just finished paying off a carbon fiber hardtop for my s2k, so money i make/save now will go towards my civic again. items top on the list are, ctr ebay spoiler, ebay mugen lip, ebay ctr rear lip. then, against what most people probably like nowadays, i'll go with some ebay projectors with HIDs since after experiencing the wonders with projectors and HIDs on the s2k, i never want to go back to halogens again.

following these, it will either be ebay turbo again or some ebay emusa coilovers. i'm not getting quality **** for this car, those will be for the s

so here's my long update, if anyone even cared lol
