Always use a torque wrench on valve cover bolts

I learned the hard way, as did you

What you mean by recommended oil change interval mileage? I just change every 30,000 miles. The other day I went to autozone and this fool told me that for water pump and timing belt cost me together about $500!! He must be on drug when he look up on the computer.

This happened to me while working on a buddies car. Luckily it was pretty loose and I was able to drill into the top and unscrew it with a small flathead. I got a new set of bolts for 20 bucks, just in case it happens again haha.

Also, I really hope you meant 3,000 miles and not 30,000.

I keep screw extractors/ez outs in my tool box.

Sure most already know about it. Just drill a hole (that bolt you showed is plenty big for drilling holes on) and screw the extractor on counterclockwise....it's reverse threaded...so it tightens into the hole you drilled in the direction that loosens the bolt. Now what sucks is when you break one of those off in the hole you drilled lol.....so don't get a cheap set. You're just asking for trouble.
