Default Need help for any bad year Models

Hello All,

I am looking for a used Civic 02 - newer with 5 speed. Are there any years that had any specific issues that I should stay away from? I have been looking and can't find anything. I have 92 Civic that I love but I would like to get a second Civic as a spare commuter car once the other doesn't want to work anymore.

Thank you for any suggestions.

No civic really has a bad year, just the 02-05 didnt sell well beacuse of its styling.
I say look for a 02-05 Si, i had one and was a great car, sporty had lots of room, and you can find them cheap.

The d17 wasn't a huge hit with consumers either. But there's really no big issues that I know of for the 7th gens. I haven't heard of many 6th gens rusting out at the wheel wells, so I'm assuming Honda got that little "whoops" fixed after the 5th gens

But EP3 (02-05 SI hatches) ftw! K20a3's are awesome engines... if you don't mind the lack of "true" vtec and a missing 6th gear (but an rsx-s transmission swap would take care of that).
