is doing a vtec head swap from a z6 head to a d15b7 block ok as far as an everyday driver, i mean i want the hp gian but also want to keep reliability, will the swap kill my reliability, also if i boost it, even with a good tune will that be concidered bad for my engine if i boost lets say 6-7 psi with stock internals?

 

I don't know much about swaps yet, but I would like to do one myself sometime.

I do however think that it would probably be a good idea to do some basic engine work if your going to boost. Don't take my word for it though, but I always read that some high performance valves and maybe a hotter cam would be a good idea for boosting.

I am sure these guys could tell you more then I ever could though.

 

yea i think ur rite, but i only want to boost maybe 6-7 psi, i think stock internals could handle that
