oh I forgot to mention, I bought my civic 5 years ago for 2,000. At that time, it was only 9 years old. (Not over the dreaded 10 years). It's known that anything you do to a car that isn't a stock option only reduces the potential resale value. If I got a completely stock civic in 2002 for 2,000, that means you should be able to get that car for less than 2,000, technically. But in reality I'm sure he won't go under 2,500.

I say, pretend that you don't like the things you like, and low ball him, say 2200. BUT, keep in contact with him. Once he realizes that he can't sell it for 5,000, he'll drop the asking price to 4,800, and so on. Just keep at him to buy it for 2,200. Just PLEASE DON'T buy it for anything over 3,000. Obviously, someone will be willing to pay that much, maybe you will be willing, but yeah.

Im going to throw him an offer when I go look at it......Remember I have gotten almost no info on the motor and im really curious about that andthe overall shape of the car. I'll keep you guys posted on what I decide to do.
