New car ?


Hello all, new here.

I'm looking to purchase a new car in a few months. i have it down to 2 choices. 1st a 08/09 vw rabit 2D or 08/09 Honda civic coupe. so far the vw has more for the money other than MPG. my plan is to buy the car new drive it for 5 yrs than give it to my daughter for her first car. so i'm looking for a car that will last! any reliability concerns i should have? I had 2 CRX. 1back in the early 90's and 1 in the late 90's. the SI was a great car. the HF had a bad motor. what are the "must have options" with the civic?

please, never get a vw... I've heard of so many problems that vw's have/had (my sister has an '02 Jetta). They're just not worth the trouble IMO
