I was just yankin' your chain.

Just do some searching around, look at things you like on other peoples cars to get different ideas of what to do. Just remember the golden rule, keep it clean.

Stay away from the typical fart can exhausts (looks like a big coffee can). Stay away from most body kits (except for the few of them that actually have simple designs that flow well with the body). Stay away from tacky taillights. Don't put LEDs all over the outside of your car. Don't put a big 5" tach on your dash. Don't misbadge your car (such as putting type R stickers on it). Don't buy stuff that is intended to make people think you have something you don't (i.e. those stupid whistles that mount on your tailpipe and the sellers claim they sound like turbos (they don't really), DOHC stickers on a SOHC Civic, etc.).

Basically if it's really flashy or loud, it's probably stupid. As a general rule of thumb i'd say these things you want to avoid are the things that "turn heads".

Be yourself, but try not to have bad taste.
