Default new guy

im thinking about buying a little honda. besides intake and exhaust what are some fairly cheep mods to give them some pep? i know an intake manifold and a cam on a small block will help alot are these similar? i dont want a race car or a high scool rice car so could you guys point me in the right direction

Welcome and check out the sticky threads in each section that point you in the right direction and answer pretty frequent questions like the ones you have.

Intake, Header and Exhaust are the most basic forms of cheap upgrades, just remember you get what you pay for.

cheap? no sir you are wrong. For the hp you get out of them there is nothing cheap about intakes, headers, and exhausts.

well i didnt mean they were cheap as in price. but it is the cheapest way to go to see some sort of increase in power. even if its very small. Im assuming he wants something cheap and easy to install right away rather than saving the money to get something that will get him a better hp to dollar ratio.

yea just put the common i/e/h and you can add more spark. then go from there
make it a project. trial and error is the only way to truly learn.

thanks ill look through the stickies. im not looking for the cheepest easiest things just fairly cheep. i cant make it a project its got to be my daily driver. my truck is the project, shootin for 1000 hp by next spring with it. so just kinda quick things nothing that would take more than a weekend to install.
