Default New here (coupe or hatch) please help

hi everyone this me first post so bare with me lol. im goin to look at a civic coupe 99 1.6lsi tomoz and i was wondering if anyone can tell me what they are like compared to the hatch as am stuck between the 2 but im looking for performance as the main reason as the hatch and the coupe are both gorgeous cars, ive searched an searched it mite bme im just S**T lol. cheers everyone

well the hatch weighs less so with the same set up it will be faster than the coupe, but the coupe looks better. all depends what you really want out of the car oh yeah, and if you are going to have people riding in the back some, i dunno about the hatch but I am 5'11 and my head touches the roof in the back quite bad, doesnt bother me though since i never ride back there

cheers m8 well if i was to get the hatch it would b the 1.4 but i got my eye on the 1.6 coupe an i hope the coupe performs better as it is the better looking car an the one i prefer, lol am not worried bout passenger room alls im worried about is the drivers seat lol ive drove the 1.4 hatch an it is rappid!!!! how do u think the coupe performs compared to the 1.4 hatch as it mite give me an idea about the performance, sorry for questions lol

the 1.6 in the coupe will be a lot stronger than the 1.4

Have fun with the purchase

my coupe performs pretty good but if i were getting another I would get a manual transmission

Get A car like Mine....99-00 Civic Si DOHC V-tec. These car's have some awesome power.....

Where are you from? Is the 1.6 liter lsi you're talking about a SOHC or a DOHC?

my 97' ej8 aka 1.6L d16y8 sohc Vtec performs okay it only has 127hp and i get pulled on by a few other cars around here., but it is also automatic. but im swaping it for a b16 tho. i'd get the hatch cuz it is lighter and they look really good when are fixed up. example: mugen front lip or spoon front lip-type-r rear lip - slammed etc.. but it is up too you good luck.
