Default New to the scene

Hey guys,

After owning my 2005 Civic for a few months, I decided it was time to spruce it up both performance wise and visual. currently, everything is stock.
I would like to get the total horsepower to roughly 250 HP without using Nitrous Oxide. I was thinking of putting in a turbocharger but I don't know what would need to be reinforced and the likes. All suggestions and pointers would be appreciated!

~Edit

Is performance parts widely available for the 2005 model? If not, what year would be the best, aftermarket wise?

Also, would it be possible to boost the stock engine to 250HP? or would I need a new engine? thanks in advanced!

92-00 is the best year

i'd suggest searching online for info about turboing a car
for 250hp you would need to build the engine more.

LOL Yeah in order to get more power once you have a turbo, you GOTTA have good "headers" and a nice cold air intake.

Um... I was just messing with you man, when you get a turbo your header is replaced with a turbo manifold, and your cold air intake is replaced with turbo piping. Sorry to confuse you!

This is exactly what I want to do. Whip out at least 200 hp. But preferably 230+
Not to hijack your thread, but does anyone know how much this would cost? And recommendations?
