Hello CIVICers
I am new to this board and it's exciting board. [1] To start with I have 99civic w/ 105k miles on it. How far with regular maintenance do you think I can be comfortable with driving this car [2] People w/ this much mileage, do you guyz drive the car for long-distance commute say 400miles one-way or so..
What's your take on this.

WELCOME! only 105k miles?? just keep up with the regular oil, spark, wires, etc. changes and u'll be fine. i've got 171kmiles on my car and still running strong. drive daily and race monthly.

Well the CEL light came on...I have 108k miles ...After 100k, had this cEL and dealer detected/changed 02 sensor [$1000]..and now again the lightg comes up...dont know the reason..

 

take it to autozone and they will find out why it came on for free.

 

$1000 to change an o2 sensor!? That is crazy!

 

Thats beyond crazy, NEVER take your car to the dealership again.

 

My car has 138k miles on it and i drove 800 miles in one day only stoping to gas up...no problems with the car at all

 

my crx has about 180k on it, runs perfect, just need to do a tune up, its been a while...lol...hondas if treated right, will last forever(400k+miles)

 

yeah my dads accord has 225k on it and it runs better than some other cars brand new...lol
