Default noob: what engine swap for 95 hb with d15 non vtec

I am new to these forums but not to working on and fixing cars. My current ride is a 90 240SX that i completely built the SR20DET in it and installed and did all the wiring myself. Anyways I am buying my 16.5 year old daughter a car from a friend of mine. I am currently in Iraq and am getting it for a steal. It is a 95 with a D15 non vtec motor. It has 165,000 miles on it and will need either rebuilt or I was thinking of a swap. Something with a little more pep but not ridiculous and inexpensive. I am in the military with 4 kids and so my budget doesn't allow for really expensive stuff.......lol What swaps are recommended that are fairly easy and inexpensive. My wife had an Accord (got totaled two months ago) and my daughter really loved it. It was lowered with rims exhaust etc. So I am gonna build my baby girl a fast and furious civic hatch.......lol Any help would be appreciated. I am on the NICO forums under the same name....theboz. Thanks in advance,

BoZ

First of all I would like to thank you for serving your country. Takes great courage to make that choice. I kinda know.

Second, try swapping your engine to a b16B, will cost around 4k. I don't exactly how much is your budget, but about under 10k, you can have a decent fast civic.
