Arrow OBD1 & 02 Wire Problems

So i've done my dx>ex conversion and now i'm left with these issues which are getting fixed tomorrow..

for 5 bills.
ugh

i've come to find out that my cat i bought for 70$ wasn't OBD2, it was OBD1.
( thank you savvys for pointin it out =/ )

and my 02 extensions weren't a perfect fit either, i had a female to female and had to hit up a junkyard get a male cut the wire and splice them..
and that's my other issue, a wire misfire/problem.

So these two things are being fixed tomorrow, for that price. I hope there isn't anything else to delay this problem so i can **** ing pass smog already.
im tired of spending Soo much money.!

obd1 cat...... a cat is a cat, i have a cat from a ford f350 super duty on my teg, fit great and works great. got it brand new for 30$. you should just untape the o2 wires and redo them, i just did my o2, they didnt sell a plug and play o2, they only had universal o2 and they dont come with the plug so i had to cut my plug off my old o2 and wire it onto the new one, it seems to work great havent had a cel yet.

well, california emissions are strict to begin with and only allow honda/acuras cat to be put on. plus the obd1 cat wasn't allowing enough heat for the 02 sensor to acknowledge. which is why the obd2 cat allows more heat for it to acknowledge it.

You may need to have all heat shields in place on the pipes between the engine and cat in order for the cat to run properly.

Technically, one could just weld in a fitting after the cat for the second O2 sensor, but that may not be legal in California.

If your engine is misfiring there's a bigger problem than just the second O2 sensor. The only purpose of this sensor is to verify the performance of the cat. If it is not working the CEL will come on and "limp home" will be activated (rev limiter at 5000 and no VTEC) but basic performance below 5000 rpm should not be affected.
