Ive used the nos brand booster but unless your going to the track or racing for slips, it's money that could be better spent.

dont bother. the store bought octane boosters are a scam. it will say on the bottle that it raises octane up to 7 points. yeah, .1 .2 .3 .... thats right, .7, your dog **** CA 91 octane for 2.28 per gal, say, 6 gallons, so 13.68+ about 7.00 for the booster brings it up to about 3.35 per gallon, and it will be running a vicious 91.7 octane. go to sherwin-williams and buy a gallon of xylene(paint thinner), about an ounce of marvel mystery oil, and a few ounces of kerosene, mix it all together and it should bump a six gallon tank of gas to about 94-95 octane. you can mix this up to about 70-30 with gas. the booster itself is about 117 octane, for about 8-12 bucks a gallon, so figure out the ratios. BTW, on a NA honda, you will see very little(if any) difference with higher octane, unless you have really high compression, like over 11:1

Good call, My friend uses (I plan to start soon) toulene... to up your octane. About $8 for 1 1/2 liters. Your 4-banger is made to run on 87-89 octane, so your wasting your money if you dont have any extreme mods.

if you use the toulene or xylene, be sure to pour in a couple of ounces of MMO, the gasoline comes out of the pump with additives in it to protect the motor, but the toulene/xylene doesnt. BTW in my experience, xylene is roughly the same price, maybe a little cheaper, as well as easier to find. Plus, the toulene is roughly 114 octane and the xylene is roughly 117, so the same amount of xylene will bump it a little higher.
