personally, boost the b. but income you have dealing with turbo the d.

and yeah, a non vtec b? nah if you did plan to go for it you should even save more for the vtec

eh, i aint implying that. just saying why beat yourself when you realize if you saved more $ you could of had it, thats all.

vtec isnt all that great, plus its easy to tune without it and a little bit cheaper. And when your making 300hp, im pretty sure it doesnt matter when vtec kicks in, cause honestly to this day i still cant feel it "kick" in.

also its supposed to be smooth
ive driveen a 06 si and i could barely feel it like if i wasnt trying i prolly wouldn't have noticed it kick in

You won't feel it kick in if it's working correctly; that's the point. Besides, on a single-slammer, you can barely even hear it engage, and you have to listen for it to hear it at that. As for the facts, if two engines are built exactly the same, one with vtec, one without, the vtec engine will make more power than the one without thanks to the different cam profiles. As far as it being worth to convert it if you're going to be at 300whp regardless, no; it's just extra money.
