I wasn't saying he should do it, I was just giving him the answer to his question. He wanted to know the best power gaining mod you can buy with $300, which is probably a used nitrous setup. I stand by my first post and with everyone else though when I say suspension is more important and will make you much happier with your car.

Well, Addiction made some good suggestions. If you really want to spend your money on your Civic, think basic tune up (plugs, wires, cap, and rotor), as well as fixing any CEL codes. Mods can be done after the car is running well and not leaking any fluids.

I wouldn't even go that far. Fixing his welded in half springs with something stock or aftermarket should be his first priority before he gets in a major accident and now has No Car or possibly Life.

Having someone dead because they'd rather spend money on LEDs or to go faster when on the next corner his car could fail is something I'd prefer not to see. /story

Well, if his modified struts are truly a safety risk, then I would have to agree.

ya he did say he welded them together after cutting them... only thing we dont know about is HOW he welded them needless to say thats a huge safety risk if he puts that money towards performance rather than suspension getting properly fixed at least.

Sorry, I must have missed something. What's the story with the half springs?

96 Civic DX, please post pictures of your cut springs and welds. Members are clearly very concerned about your safety. Don't take this issue lightly.

Let's not turn this into a bashing thread like the other ones. Keep the posts helpful and polite.
