Default Performance Improvements
I just bought a 96 Civic HB DX with 5 spd - don't have a lot of money for improvements but what can I do for 500 to maybe 850 to improve performance, gas mileage and driveability?

Lower it a little bit with nice parts... better handling, less drag. You won't notice really anything in terms of gas mileage but you will definitely notice that it is more fun to drive.
