Hey everyone, hope you're all doing good! I'm new here and have some questions, and I am also looking for information.
I just bought a 2002 Honda civic, two door coupe, I believe it's the lx with a D17a1 block, none-vtec. The car hasn't been winter driven and living in Canada that's a bonus. It had a lot of goodies added to it, like coil overs, nice aluminum rims, aluminum control arms, a High end exhaust system, and more, now...the motor is ready to go because of high kilometers, miss firing, and low compression in 2 cylinders with damage to the block it's self as well. Forgive me for the long message here, the car is in great shape, there is no rust anywhere on the body including the underneath, it was very well taken care of. I was talking to a mechanic in my city whom said that the motor should be swapped because it's so clean, however I was told that it can't be swa
pped with a K series or B series engine, he didn't explain why so I'm wondering if someone on here can tell me themselves? Is it because of the engine bay? Or the ECU? OR anything as such? It's a very mint car that I would love to make into something super fast and loud... any help will be greatly appreciated,
thank you in advance.
