im thinking of changing my oem pulley to an underdrive.... and a friend of mine told me that i have to replace the alternator
with a high output one.. coz he told me that in time the oem alternator will give up coz it wont be able to handle the underdrive pulley....any comments????? is this for real??? whatever my friend told me???

Why do you want the underdrive pulley? Its like a 2hp increase right? Just make a woosh noise with your mouth when you acclerate for the same effect.

But seriously, if the engine was designed without them, it means there was a reason. I4's tend to vibrate, and an underdrive will interfere with the balance shafts.
