Default Quality Shift *****.

Hey guys just looking to get a few opinions on who makes a good shift ****. Nice and weighted with a good clean look. I Just put a B&M short shifter and a new bushing kit on my '96 and I'm not liking the stock **** as much as I thought I would. Any opinions? What setup do you guys use? Thanks in advance for the input. :-)

I have a B&M Tall Leather Shift ****. It's shaped similar to stock, but it's made of nice looking leather and has stitching on it. Also, it has better indentations for your fingers and an indentation on top for your thumb. I really like it. Another plus to it is that I bought it brand new on ebay for like $22 shipped, which is a great deal for a name brand shift ****. It can be found on andysautosport.com for like $26.

Nice I like the leather. Is it weighted at all?

nah it's not really weighted. It was a little light at first but I got used to it. I think it would feel heavier if my shifter was different. I have an eBay shifter and it seems to make it awkward. I plan on getting a buddyclub dual bend shifter or something similar.

Is there a DIY on short shift and bushing install? I looked around and didnt see one. I'm waiting on my shifter and bushings. (I went with a skunk 2 **** that I got for $15 brand new in box off a kid from Craigslist.com) But I figure if there is not a DIY I'll write one up. It'll give me another excuse to use my new camera. haha!

Well Got the B&M dual bend short shifter, energy poly bushings and the skunk2 weighted **** on there. Shifts amazing! Has anyone ever had a problem with the shifter rattling? Not like an exhaust rattle or anything but when I hit a certain RPM the shifter itself rattles in the car. Almost like the support shaft is too tight or something, and transferring the vibrations of the motor through the support shaft to the shifter . Not really sure, I poked around for a while on here looking for related problems but it sounds like everyone else's problem is exhaust related. Any other ideas?
