question about car im debating on buying.
so i had a 96 civic ex...blew its engine....then bought an 01 turbo jetta, spent 3k on work in a year and someone totaled it last week...now im looking at hondas again and found a 2000 si im interested in but im not to civic savvy and want some opinions on it.
its listed as 128k miles and these add ons:
"Highway miles, JL Audio sound system, 17' OZ wheels, VTEC controller, AEM cam gears, AEM pulleys, Fuel pressure regulator, stewart warner gauges and shift light, Tokico shocks, Advenger body kit, Iceman intake, illuminated door mirrors, clifford security system, ACT clutch."
im not so interested in the lowering and body kit ****, but im hoping the other work adds some power?
i doubt it can get up to what i had with my jetta but id be curious of peoples opinions of that set up and how much it brings to the table.
also what do you think its worth?
apologies if this isnt the proper place, feel free to move it around for me.

RE: question about car im debating on buying.
Seeing a car with an FPR and VTEC controller makes me a little nervous. Those are two very unnessecary mods that will end up probabaly removing power or damaging something if the person doesn't know what they're doing. There is no reason to change the VTEC engagement unless it's with proper tuning on an actual management system. And, with all those guages and what not, it wouldn't suprise me if it was turbo at one point. I could be wrong, but just keep it in mind!

hiway miles?? I doubt it. looking at the car, the mods, and so forth I would NOT be surprised if that car has been driven hard and abused. Check it over carefully. Take it to a mechanic you trust and have him look it over (if thats possible). Personally I'd walk away from it unless it was an absolute steal
