ok so im planning on buy a civic ex (my dream) with no engine installed anyways both need a trans yet both have everythign needed to bolt into the car itself.....so heres my simple questions

-1-the b18b1 that comes with it how good is that motor and what model year tegras would it possibly have come in??...also idk if anyone would know but how hard would a rebuild be of this engine since I would like to finally rebuild something and since i dont know the milage on the motor i think it would be a good idea?....plus approx how much cost? is in rebuilding it if i do it myself

-2- there is an rs '93 i think tegra and also an ls with a manual trans. would they bolt up to the b18b1?
which trans would be better?

and finally how hard would the b18b1 swap be into that civic ex

 

The B18B1 is a good motor if you want to turbo it or do an ls vtec. Its found in the 1994-2001 Acura Integra RS,LS, and GS. So do you need to rebuild it? Does it run? Whats wrong with it? And im pretty sure the tranny off the 93 will fit on the B18B1.

'94 civic ex (he says dx but im sure ex for the sunroof, tweeters in door panels, and rear disc and it also had a vtech in it so yea.....)

The engine i am not sure he says it was pulled from a running car but to me it would just be safer to rebuild it so that there is 000,000 miles on the motor for a long lasting funtime....and the only thing thats wrong with it is it dosent come with a trans so pretty much yea i have no clue how long its been sitting there in a heated workplace or anything so to be on the safe side im considering rebuilding it.....
