Raceland?
so ... a friend of mine introduced to me this website called racelandus.com and they sell parts for supper cheap. To the point where it's like too good to be true. Has anyone ever heard of this place/brand or whatever before? If so, are they legit and reliable? They got Civic coilover kits for like $300. Even tho I'm a n00b, I know that you get what you paid for and coilovers for that cheap seems pretty sketchy. Any comments?
G-town, huh?
Anyway, is there a name brand attached to these coilovers? Ground Control and Skunk2 coilover springs (just the springs and perches, no struts) usually run a little over $300. If there isn't a decent name brand on the coilovers, I wouldn't touch them with a 10' pole; there's no good reason to use questionable products when you're talking about the devices supporting your 2,500lb car.

yessss ... good ol' scott county
but yeah thats what i originally thought. i could understand it being around $300 if it were just springs but from what i saw it looked as if it was the whole kit. plus i didnt see any other name brands, it seemed like its own "racing" company which made it even more sketchy. if its too good to be true, then it most likely is too good to be true ya know? haha

Yeah, I'd stay away from them then. The idea of "you get what you pay for" tends to be especially true when it comes to suspension parts. Like I said, Ground Control and Skunk2 both sell coilover springs for close to $300 (when I bought the Ground Controls for my old civic a few years back I believe it was $325+shipping). You'll still need to buy struts, though. I've heard extremely good things about Ground Controls with Koni Yellow struts. Or you could opt to get "full" coilovers; I believe Tein's lower-level coilovers are close to or under a grand.
yeah iv heard some good things about koni yellows too. a bunch of friends of mine are always talkin about em. right now i just have eibach sport springs (came with the car) n its lowered an inch and a half, but i wana go lower (: but still be able to get into my driveway during the winter haha
whatever you do dont get them lol.. they ride with alot of bouncyness.. my friend got his broken apart while driving.. yes koni yellow wit gc coilover is a nice setup.. remember when ordering get the spring rate you gonna like for a daily or race
This guy did a review on them and raves about them..

but, he's not exactly using them properly so I'd take his review with a grain of salt.
I have no experience with them and don't know anyone personally who uses them (which to me speaks loudly), but I'd say stay away from them. Their website throws up some red flags which would make me steer clear of anything they make.

Kinda funny you mentioned that review cause iv seen that one and plenty of others all across the Internet that are a little too similar. All the reviews iv seen make them sound amazing but iv yet to actually hear positive things about them.
