Hi guys new to the site, I wasnt sure exactly how to search for this so Ill just ask. I was watching some youtube this morning and saw a couple civics with reverse mounted engines. I thought it looked pretty cool and was wondering if there were any special kits or anything for this. My way of thinking is that the tranny would spin reverse so I would think there might be some moderate mods there. Thanks!

 

Those would be engine - transmission sets removed as a complete system from other models of cars and swapped in. The Civic and a few other Honda models are unique in having the engine on the left side in the first place. Most front wheel drive cars have the engine on the right side and the transmission on the left.

So if you take the engine and transmission out of one of those as a set, it will already be turning the right way to push the car forward.
