when i am on the freeway doing anywhere from 70 - 80 mph, where should my revs be. my car now can redline at 9000? shoud it be reving at like 45-5000?? that is where it is now. maybe it just seems high to me because my two other cars only redline at 6500.

 

why don't you tell us what engine you have??

 

My '06 LX 5-speed is right at 3K while at 70MPH in fifth gear. My red line on the tack is at 6800 RPM.
