yeah. don't do it. lol.
like i said: stolen/recovery vehicle.
something nicer always comes along the minute after you buy a new car.
if you do buy it then make sure you get a honda tech to give it a thorough once over...

id agree.....kinda odd with a EX cluster and those odd taillights... most likely stolen and striped...... and then rebuilt.... simply see what it says on the title...
problem with salvage cars are ya never know WHAT is actualy on the car!!!!!!
could very well just be a EX with motor swap and front grill swap.LOL
plus ya never know actualy HOW many miles are on the equipment that they replaced on the car! engine could have 150K miles on it.... and what 54K miles on THAT CLUSTER... and maybe 150K miles actualy on the car....
personaly ID PASS!!!!!!
just look at the title... most likely it says SALVAGE and milage fraud.... or unknown

thanks drbyers i appreciate it, even though you disagree lol. But I will def get a honda tech to check it out. Is there anything that I myself can look for, besides the obvious. I just really want an Si with low miles, which are hard to find, and 54,000 is low to me. My car has that doubled. and for $7500? I just have to drive itORIGINAL: drbyers

thanks guys. Im just gonna test drive it, and if it feels good, smooth, no grinding and such, then ill inspect it inside and out. I really want an Si and this car has so little miles, i could even boost it in the future and still have pretty low miles

how can he insure that it only has 54K miles....... the stock gauges could have just been pulled to hide high milage.....
hell my dads 2000 suburban has over 100K miles now but only has like 5miles on the title.....
and if the computer didnt remember the milage then alls it would take is a new cluster with low milage and you can say what ever milage you wanted....
think about that...... i doubt it only has 54K miles..... hell the listed ex cluster shows 58K m iles..
and these civics dont have a computer memory feature... so a simple cluster swap can take off 100K miles with a simple swap!!!!!!
