To be honest, sounds like they are either stolen, or might suffer from curb rash. Something really does not sound right in that deal. I'd approach with extreme caution. Might even bring personal protection.

 

Why can't you check them out before hand or ask for pics? J/w....

I'd say no, just cause its craigslist and you haven't seen them.

 

He wants them on the spot because the Tenzos are still on his car and he wouldn't have wheels for his car. That's what it sounds like to me.

They're 17" though, I say pass because they're too big.

 

+1, I thought 17s would be alright but the ride is ROUGH. I also have 205/40R17 tires and you feel every crack in the road. Plus, thats too damn cheap. Something is wrong with them.

his story is that it is getting repo'd later in the week. He said and I quote, "I don't want those bastards to get my rims. Im looking for a cheap set of steelies with no tread left and bringing those. He said it was fine if I did making his story more believable. IDK. it about an hour and a half drive there so im still iffy on going and then being like wow... look at chinchilla farm growing in it...

 

I've bought all three of my cars off there. My third one though was in a wreck they didn't tell me about, and various other stuff (i wasn't there when it was bought )......just need to know what to look for.

haha..screw craigslist. i drove 3 hours to see a 99 ex, they wanted 5500. test drove it and man, that poor honda..clutch was burned, brakes were goin out, had to FLOOR it just to start off. it made the most horrible sound i have ever heard. it was sad, so sad. poor thing still ran. theres a honda for ya. i got out and the guy asked me if i was going to buy it, i laughed in his face.
