Default Snow Tires - 2009 Civic EX-L

I live in Albany NY and am looking for good snow tires for my 2009 Civic EX-L.
My dealer is suggesting that i get a "minus" size snow tires.

Thus my OEM size is 205 55r 16 and they are suggesting 195 65R 15

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your time.

Depends on how much handling you're willing to sacrifice. The taller the rubber, the more side flex you'll feel. A plus 0 size is bad enough with a full out snow tire IMHO. Hence, if you drive on interstates much, I would shy away from the minus 1. The smaller rim size should be cheaper though.
