Default Spark plugs

This might have been discussed before. And sorry if it was, i'm a newb to this forum...so yea. Bear with me a little bit thanks all. Plus, i just started to kind of work on my own car. So i'm a big newb.

I just bought a set of 4 NGK platinum spark plugs and put it into my 02 civic LX.

When i was changing it....i realized that the previous owner used iridium plugs....so my heart kind of sank and i felt sorry for my car cause i down graded the plugs.

But is there a huge difference between platinum and iridium??? better in milage? anything? the only thing i know is that iridium lasts longer.

i did notice the smoother acceleration after changing the platinum in, but that could just be because it's new.

you're better off with plain NGK Platinum plugs. Those are the OEM plugs for your car. Don't waste your money on Iridium.

Cant go wrong with what your car tells you to use, NGK Platinum FTW.
