BTW does anyone know what to do about a messed up steering column? Mine is stuck slighly clockwise and it doesn't lock when the car is off and you turn the wheel. The car steers fine, but I want to fix the steering column before I sell the car...
Stolen recently? That sux. What did you lose?

well my 96 steering doesnt lock all the time either.... but the wheel being slightly off is most likely due to your alignment messed up. just get a alignment done and they will zero out the steering wheel. plus when selling the car give them the alignment sheet or reciete... that always helps when buying a new car that it drives straight and no worries about tire wear problems.

In this months Honda Tuning Magazine the have a section dedicated to theft prevention. Any newsstand/ book store should have it. Im fixing to do the fuel pump killswitch idea.

Yeah someone probably smacked into a curb while they were joyriding and knocked the alignment out. It doesn't lock because of course they broke the lock in order to steal the car. That can be replaced without replacing the whole column.

Yeah they took my WS2, V2, Magna cat, blackhoused headlights, speakers, Alpine, Rota Slips, sub, floor mats, spare tire, tools, etc.

The alignment is fine and the car goes perfectly strait when the steering wheel is straight. However, the turn signal switch is high and the wiper controls are low because the part that houses the steering rod is messed up. Idk if I need to replace the whole steering column or not..

That's crazy. It hardly seems worth stealing that stuff off a car. used parts and it takes a little work to get it all out. Thieves suck and have very few brain cells.

well if you want quick cash those are very popular parts to steal.....
if i was a thief id also take the trunk lid and doors and fenders hood bumper cover myself.... those are easy to sell and not really tracable besides the little vin number sticker on them which can easily be peeled off.

the fuel cutoff is probably the best way to prevent a smash/crash and drive off theft.... but still if they just use a tow truck or flat bed say goodbye birdy and just be sure to have insurance!

true, but who honestly is going to use a flatbed to steal a car in someones driveway? Not me... then again, I'm not a thief...

you`d be suprised, for some people this is there job and how they make money unlike most of us who either go to school or work a 9-5 of some sort. If you make stealing your job then you will prolly go over the top compared to the casual smash and grab person
