yeah, its gotten bad since the Fast and the Furious came out. before that, i used to go to the illegals a lot, but i never saw an accident or any fights or anything. but after that movie came out, it went mainstream and there was way too many people out there, and the cops realized how bad it was getting, so they started cracking down. now they just videotape the races, then a couple of weeks later, the racers wake up to find their cars being towed. they didnt even know the cops were there when they were racing. so its not even worth it anymore. thats why i go to the track now.

 

i live about 5 miles from laguna seca raceway in monterey CA. does anybody know if there is a public racing day there? and how much it costs?

 

i know there is, my boss's father in law wrecked his Z06 there on the corkscrew a couple of weeks ago. best part was, it was a lease[:@] but im not sure when it is. im sure there is a website that has a schedule though.

 

i never race the civ cause its no fun. i will occasionally run in the stang but i jsut cruice usually. i never go to the hang outs where all the ricers/bikers/ and car guys go. it is just too dangerous. **** is gonna get fukt or jacked.

i jsut g2g with guys i know and we hang out and have garage days. and just go for country cruises and let our stangs run free.

not much of a drag guy. ide prever a road course. jsut more fun to me and thats how my car is set up

 

i live near st louis, mo. we got a track 10 minutes away. Gateway International Raceway. every tues. night is street tires night and wed. is slicks test and tune. its pretty cheap. $20 and you can get about 6 or 7 runs in. its better to do it at the track, but with my car everyone wants to race on the street, especially old muscle cars and stang, so i got to show them what these little 4 bangs have every once in a while!!!
