Exclamation Swap or New Tranny?

My 99 dx hatchback transmission has began to act up -- making scratching noises when driving (there is also black fluid leaking from the front of the car since this started). After speaking with a mechanic they said the transmission was gone.. (I still need to double check this at a shop - does it sound like a tranny issue to you?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjH1q...ature=youtu.be

My current engine has only about 130k km on it (D16Y7).

I am debating whether I should purchase a transmission for my current motor, and if so which kind?

Or whether it would be a better idea to sell my motor and have a swap done, and if so what kind? Also for a swap what else would I need to replace (details much appreciated)

Any or all help and advice is much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

If its scratching sounds like synchros are bad. Cheap solution is get same model tranny shoukd be cheap if you get a used one.

Or buy a front clip from a jdm gsr and you have all the components needed for the swap aside from custom motor mounts which can be ordered online. Youre the third guy ive recommended this to tonight.
