Question Throttle body cleaning on 2009 civic

Hi all,

I noticed on my civic the accelerator is sticking between 2000 to 2500 RPM range! and I am sure I need to do the throttle body cleaning.
I am looking for videos or documents to follow since I find it little difficult compare to other cars. The TB is located deep towards windshield.
For now i added a fuel injector cleaner in gas tank. but eventually i need to have TB cleaned.

Please suggest best way to do it.

Thanks in advance!
Vimal

I just use Carb/Throttle Body cleaner in a spray. The only thing you need to check is that what ever you use doesn't damage 02 sensors & the Cat. They say it on the can. I use the stuff from walmart & it works great.

Thanks for your response!
I actually was looking for video/picture demo on how to unplug air-intake and throttle body cleaning... Since the new civics throttle body is located almost under the windshield.

Thanks in advance!

Aren't these drive by wire? If the gas pedal feels "sticky" it must be the pedal itself. A drive by wire system has no physical linkage from the pedal to the throttle body.

Thanks MK,
In that case, I will check the paddle.
I just need to confirmed that 2009 civic has the fly-by wire system.
Thanks again,
vml
