Default Tint opinion/question

How much moneydo you think is fair to pay someone to strip all of the tint off of my ex coupe, and re-tint it?

well i paid like 60bucks to have mine striped.
but that was mainly cause of the rear defrosters.... but mine still only have a few that work but i cannt be sure that they messed it up cause i never tried them out before i got my ride tinted
i think it was like 160bucks for the tint... cannt be exact cause its been awhile.
i did 20% rear glass and front side windows and 5% on the side rear quarter windows. id like to have it alittle darker BUT i wanna be able to see at night cause i go to work early in the morning so i need to see in the dark!

dont pay to have it stripped. Do it yourself. Its really easy. Just get a razor blade, start in the corner and once you get enough slack, grab it and pull out and away. It should come off in one piece especially if its warm out. Tint is strong, it holds broken windows together so you can pull pretty good. Then scrape off any extra glue

well see you can remove most of your tint BUT if you have a backglass with defrosters... you cant just pull it off and razor blade it.... or youll rip and cut your defrosters off........

i think what they use is some type of steamer to soften the glue and gently pull it off... but again thats just my guess cause thier was some water on my rear deck when i got it back the second time i had him tint it....

but for your side windows... ya you can just pull them off BUT they didnt charge me for the side windows.... just that back glass cause it has to be done with care....

yea im with black do it your self i did mine it took a long time but i save 50 bucks. what i did was i took a blow drier and i heated the tint and then took a razor blade and started scraping. but make sure u get the window nice and hot or it will bea pain in the ***. theres probley gunna be some glue still left on the window so wut i did was took some brake cleaner( i also heard cleaners with high almonia works to) and put some on a cloth (dont spray it on the window cuz its bad for ur intieror) and it should come right off. the thing that sux is getting the back window by the brake light. that a biatch.

Yeah, I know its easy to strip it by yourself, but it was 100º here today, and I didn't feel like sitting in the heat. Plus the back window would have sucked with thet defoggers. And when they did it, they had to take out my back seat, and all of the paneling around the speakers and everything, I just didn't feel like doing all that.
