Default Putting dark tint over existing light tint?

My car has the legal limit all the way around but I regret getting the it on my back windows because my car heats up incredibly living in El Paso. Do I have to go through the hasssle of taking off the existing window tint or could I put another layer of tint over the existing?

Take the old tint off first. Never put new over old. And dont just go all crazy taking it off either. You have to do it right or the new tint will look like crap. The shop that does the tint should be able to take off the old stuff for a low price. $30 or under if your getting them to do the new tint.

Good luck.

yea it would make no sense to put a new tint over a already exisiting old one. plus i would imagine over time it would mess it up.

its no hassle and u dont have to pay to get them removed. just use dish washing liquid and mix it with water and spray it afer u've removed the old tint and the glue should come right off. scrape it off with something with a sharp egde

actually it wont mess up anything, ive done that numerous times and i've always been happy with the results. i own a small tint shop and if the tint is not too old then there no problem on doing that. but if the tint is starting to turn violet then u should remove them
