Dood. I'm not gonna lie.

If i was 6 foot 4 inches, I'd be driving something bigger... perhaps an accord coupe. lol.

I was just noticing today how small my Civic is when standing beside it. It's not lowered much and the roof barely reaches my ribs. lol

I just called up the local Honda dealership and told the sales guy that I'm very interested in a Civic, but I don't know if I'll even fit because I'm 6'5". He laughed and said there's probably no way.

BTW, yesterday I drove a Hyundai Elantra, which I read is supposed to be a great car for tall guys, and I couldn't get my legs completely under the wheel even with the steering wheel column pulled all the way up and the seat pushed as far back and down as it would go. If a car like the Elantra, which has a reputation for roominess, won't fit me, I'm thinking it's very doubtful a Civic will.

If there is any possible way for me to make the Civic fit, I'll do it. I want that car. If my size was not an issue, I wouldn't even be considering anything else.

I'll at least head down to the dealership soon to make absolutely sure. If it turns out I don't fit, is there any way I could modify the car (preferably without voiding the warranty) so that I can?

Last night I checked the website of a company called Recaro that makes specialized car seats. The seats look promising; they sit very low to the floor. Hopefully I could also set them back farther than the stock seats will go. Has anyone here done this (with Recaro, or with the stock seats, or with anything else)?

I'll update as soon as I've tried sitting in a Civic.

Any ideas or suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.

If he gets an Accord, he'll have wasted his time registering at a Civic forum. [sm=burnout.gif]
