trying to get a good sound, but not loud or cheap

but if i did put the si muffler on the lx would i still get a better tone even though i dont have the kickass k20?

I dont think that vtec has an engagement point. I think its on throughout the whole powerband.
That would't really make much sense since the point of vtec is to allow more overlap I believe therefore allowing more higher end power. Its activates a taller cam.

I just put a K&N air filter in and it changed the exhaust but it is barely noticeable. The K&N did improve the take off from a dead stop.

get a coupe si muffler the differance is the pipe on the si muffler is a little bigger than the lx / ex b pipe and get a si gasket < the gasket where the axel back bolts to the b pipe
