two question
My 96 civic coupe single cam 1600 has covered a lot of miles (just done 102K miles) and still going strong but generally the interior is getting tired and the seat belts don't wined up, "just a bit of background"
The question is every time I apply the clutch downwards to change gears it makes a high pitch sound like the sound when you accidentally tread on a cat bad example or a squeaky noise. I tried spraying the cables and plates under the steering Column with lubrications like wd40 but still no luck. It tends to happen when the car has been parked up in the sun or generally a warm day.
Once the car is moved for around 20minutes the noise just disappears.
Is this a sign of a new clutch cable or plates or is this normal?
One more thing “in dedication to uncle in the Jackie Chan animated cartoon show, god why do I still watch it”
I also changed the rear tail pipe on the civic but when I’m changing gears from 1,2,4 or when u bring the clutch upwards after changing gears a quite metallic sound emerges from under the car? Any ideas what the problem is
Plus I recently removed the heat plate on the exhaust section as it began to rattle, so its not the heat plates loose.
Hmm no more question
