yeah i know i am being retarted when i ask, but engine management system, do i need this dramatically? what does it exactly do for the car? if its a one time tune type thing i have a guy who is going to teach me how to install turbo and tune it. i might talk to the guy and get him to throw in the 390 injectors as well. but he wants 600 firm.

^ do you need an engine management unit dramactically? YES! if you just add on a turbo and dont have a chipped ecu or some type of management unit (ex. GReddy E-Manage, Apex'i V-AFC) and have it tuned by a professional, you are going to blow your engine. no if's and's or but's. might i strongly advise you to research everything that goes into boosting a car properly. it will save you alot of headaches later on that you would have had had you just jumped into it. and just an FYI, i purchased a setup extremely similar to the one you're talking about for very cheap and it still ended up costing near $1600 to get it comnplete and running. its easy to get in over your head financially with these projects, so make sure you are prepared for it.
