Default Using Ipod in 1998 civic

I have a 1998 civic and an ipod touch. Other than using an FM transmitter is there any other way of playing my ipod through the car?
I don't want to replace the OEM stereo BTW.

Thanks, Josh

that i know of you pretty much either change your headunit to ones that has an ipod connector or a separate adapter you get for the headunit or an FM transmitter or a cassette tape to 3.5mm plug something like this http://www.amazon.com/Macally-PodTap.../dp/B0001YXWNM

there's the itrip, cassette tape to 3.5mm, also the cigarette lighter where you can put the adapter as well. try your local radio shack, electronics store man.

all u got to work with is the fm transmitter or tape with connecter like they said. you can always get a new player and then keep the OEM one to swap back in later if you ever go to sell it.

Can I ask why you do not want to change your stock deck?

Because aftermarket radios look dumb IMO and I don't want to spend money on that.

Well I guess to every man his own. But not all aftermarket radios look dumb. Some are quite simple and look almost stock, and allow you the port for your Ipod, and allow for MP3 CD's and better quality sound.
I hope you find something that works with what you have.

I have a 97 civic and a 2nd gen itouch and the itrip works like a champ dude.

i had the cigarette lighter one when i had a 95 protege and the cords just get too pulled around. i ended up messin up the connections and the transmitter was furked.
